So much has happened since my last posting in December 2019. Everyone lived the world events along side me. Everyone had losses - for us it was the passing of our mom's (at 96 and 95) and brother-in-law. Everyone had blessings - for us the birth of a granddaughter. I managed to complete 13 new pieces for a show early in the pandemic (see the 2017 - 2020 photo album), before spending the rest of COVID focused on house and yard projects.
Even after we began emerging from the restrictions of COVID in 2022, making sculpture seemed a frivolous endeavor against the backdrop of everything else going on in the world. But after the 2022 mid-terms, with a few glimmers of hope, I stopped avoiding the studio. These are my recently finished pieces - Pregnancy, Second Chances and Everything was Burning. Click on their thumbnails in the 2021 - Present photo album for their specifics and piece statements.
